The main goal of the European Youth Parliament in Hungary is to strengthen the social participation of young people aged 16-22, as well as informing them about their possibilities within the European Union and helping them acquire the capability of communicating in foreign languages on a very high level. EYP Hungary was founded in 2007 within the Pillar Foundation.

EYP Hungary's mission as a full member of the international EYP network is to ensure that Hungarian young people also have the opportunity to state their opinions about current issues on international forums. The European Youth Parliament enables young people to take part more actively in public affairs, European democracy and in EU-related issues through modelling the European Parliament. Each year young people aged 16-26 from 10 countries meet on our national- and regional sessions as delegates and officials, hence experiencing the colorfulness of the European peoples.

The EYP consists of a network of 34 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in a voluntary capacity. Thus, all the main expenses are financed by the Schwarzkopf Foundation.
